Japan Kimonos started when the last remaining heir to one of Kyoto’s oldest Kimono factories was passing away with no living descendants. In order to perpetuate some of the finer fabric facets of Japan’s best historical and current designers, the heirs evolved into JK and began promoting the display, rental, sale, and distillation of “kimono culture” to visitors to Japan and to the world. – Now we specialize in export and wholesale of the best brands and on booking visitors to try them on as well as arranging truly authentic and spectacular Japanese weddings. Our staff have all had traditional weddings with centuries’ old attire with hundreds of dressed guests, and even consulted on character design for Disney Pixar animators!”
